We've moved to paradise!
We have moved house - from a dark, opressive, smelly, damp house to a huge, light, airy house on acres of land. How lucky am I? I've moved that many times in my life that moving doesn't phase me. I've unloaded clutter on the way each time so don't have too much sorting out to do when I move. I hadn't unpacked quite a few of my boxes at the last place as there wasn't anywhere to put things and I had no inclination anyway.
Last week, my son and I unpacked those boxes and discovered wonderfully sentimental things which we arranged around this beautiful place. Some would call it clutter, or knick knacks. I don't. I need to see these things for the memories and feelings they manifest within me. Things that my grandparents handed down to me, things my sons made for me, things I acquired from places that I never wanted to forget. I look around me and see warmth, love and laughter.
The huge balcony overlooks the block which is natural Australian bush - shrubs and trees. It rained heavily(at last!) this morning and to stand out there and watch the bush soak up the rain and become vibrant with brighter greens was delightful. I hope it rains tonight and we will lay there listening to it on our tin roof. I am so very lucky.

Lovely post. You kept this blog quiet!!!!!
That's such a lovely view to wake up to and I bet it smells so fresh after the rain.
I've wondered what the "bush" looks like.
I understand about the nicknacks. I have nowhere much to display mine but I now rotate them! Keeps me busy!!
